Okay.. Hello old post.. Lol.. I have questions.. Ive been trying to research this and I just need things cleared up etc etc. Each thread i have read just seems to have little peices info scattered allover..

I think my tranny fluid needs to be changed.. i have a 01 Automatic.

my questions are:

do autos have filters?

do I need to get it flushed? (i read in another post flushing could be harmful??)

Use Honda ATF? thats what i saw a lot of ppl reccommended to others in other posts..

I am at 31k, never changed my tranny fluid.. (didnt even know about it untill recently).. I dont really know much about cars.. lol.. I have no idea if it was ever changed.. I bought it a yr used at 9k miles from honda.

I refuse to take my car to honda since dealers prices are always more then regular shops.. I dont even have the money to get the fluid changed..

I was driving today stepping on the gas and my car just revved.. it didnt go anywhere.. i was like ****. id like to change my own oil, etc etc but u always have those ppl who discourage u when u never did crap like this before.. blah!

Im poor n need help.. Lol i dont want to slack on my car..
