issues with putting on rear oem lip (or any other lips) when peeling off tape

so after having my kit laying around for couple months, I finally decided to put it on. lol.

well it was sure a tight fit.

the instructions says position and install.. like it'll just slide right on like cake, but I had to shove that thing in there hard. (hmm, this whole thing is beginning to sound weird)

basically what happen was while I was peeling away the double sided tape's cover.. with the lip on the bumper already, as per instruction.. and peel it off slowly... as it got to the corner.. the freaking peel ripped off cuz it was on so tight. anyway I really didn't want to take off the lip again, since quite a bit of the tape has already stuck on the bumper, and I didn't want to yank it off.. plus its a bitch take this apart again...

this happened to both corner of the bumper/lip...

so I'm wondering would there be any problems? anyone got in a situation like this? obviously I guess it wont stuck on so well.. maybe on a hot day it'll deform? I hope not. but the lip is stuck on the rear bumper so hard.. I dont see how that might happen.. so pretty much the sides and rear of the lip is on fine.. but the corners double side tape weren't peeled off since the corners were on so tight..

but yeah car's looking much better now.
