Is this possible to do with the 01-02 sedans that have the pink reverse light? Is the plastic actually colored, and is there something that could get out the color?

True I don't like the pink part at all.. but i don't have the money to get the new tails.. so i'll stick my my played out Altezza's.. gonna paint them and leave spaces open for the brake light/ signal and reverse.. and the reflector part.. so cops won't ticket me for that.

I actually like the 01-02 stock tails better than the new ones. Not feeling the circles. Older ones look cleaner.

Well I tried to look in them and it seems like the whole thing is pink plastic. So there's no way to make it clear short of cutting it out and finding a clear plastic piece. Would look too stupid, and there's no chrome behind there, either.

Yup... i tried taking apart tonight.. gahh i stopped when i saw that it was beginning to crack apart.. it's melted in there.. so resealed the little opening i made with some silicone and superglue.. gah.. plan b it is.. painting altezza.

actually i was doing some comparing.. and the 03 sedan body has a larger grove in the body than in the 01-02 civics

so it probablly will fit, just not perfect

oh.. and i want the thailand lights.. got a link where i can get them?

The ones that Civicsky had are not the ones from Thailand. The ones I have are kinda like his and the 03's taillights combined. It has the circles and then clear all the way across the bottom. My brother got them for me when he was there a month ago.

I saw a site a wile back that was selling piects of transparent-red vinal(sp?). It just makes the tails look all red. It wouldent be clear, but it would be a cheep way to get rid of the pink.

I am not feeling the deep red color either on the later civics... nor the circles. it's just not me. i think i remember a guy selling (probably was civicsky) them, and could just sell the inner trunk ones. you know, the section where the white reverse light is. yeah, at a decent price too. i dunno what the brand was. i wish i knew. do a search, you can find NICE pics.

i don't wanna be a cheap as though and buy em. i want something oem.
