Steering
I have a problem that Honda can not fix or are stating it’s the nature of the car. Here is the deal, 2003 Civic SI, 8,000KM, had the OEM firestone tires, changed them for Michelin Harmony. When my car has been sitting over night and I drive my car my steering wheel is not centered. After the car or the tires warm up its fine but then I get a constant pull to the right while accelerating from a stop, even a very slow acceleration. This was not there when I got the car. I have had more then 5 wheel alignments, all the suspension was checked (2 days) and still this issue. There is no point taking it back to Honda because it’s a waste of time. What I did notice now is that if I am driving very slow in a parking lot or in a stopped position and turn my steering wheel left and right there is a loud clunk sound, it sounds like its coming from under the dash. I need some expert advise here as I am going crazy thinking about it. Besides the clunk do you think that it’s the tires, should I use another brand? Has anyone ever had this problem and if so what did you do to correct the issue? Thanks guys!!
