What is wrong with the security system.....?!

Hey everyone, ok this is the situation. I got a compustar 2wss-as security system a while back, i had it prof installed but the brain was dead(well acutally this guy i know from a car install shop did it for me in his free time). So i got a new brain yesterday and popped it in, then i started up the car and did the tach test, ok everything good. Then I turned off the car and took it outa the key and then not long later the car turned off and locked itself and armed itself. Ok now i open the door and the alarm goes off, lol, but if i close it then it goes off after about 20 seconds. I was told that i need to program it before i do anything or it wont work. Ok so i press the 2 buttons down to go into programming mode but it doesnt do anything....and when i hit the door button(should arm and disarm the system eventhough it hasnt been setup yet) and it doesnt do anything. Anyone know what this dude could have messed up or what I am forgetting to do? BTW this brain is good for sure because they tested it before they sent it out...plus the fact that I know its good. Any suggestions/thoughts?
