Help me spend $2000 to go faster
I think I am done with all my cosmetic work and I have been ignoring my civic because I was working on my Lightning. Now my civic feels like a snail next to my 400hp truck.
These are my current mods:
AEM Cold Air intake
DC headers
Custom catback
Short shifter.
I run 18inch RH C5 and nuespeed race springs.
Can I make any noticible gains with 2k or should I just hold off for a turbo?
Thanks

First thing I'd do is lose the 18s. all that weight is slowing you down, and hindering your Braking and Cornering ability.
Pick up a set of light 15X7 wheels, and wrap a "short" but wide tire on there (short as in Shorter then stock). The car will be much more responsive in acceleration, braking and cornering.

You want pimping or Speed?? cause your civic can only have one.
simple secret to speed:
1. Get the smallest and widest and lightest wheel that will fit over your brakes
2. put a wide and short tire on that wheel.
the less rotational mass you have the better the car will accelerate and brake, the short tire will efectivly lower the gearing on the car (Better accleration at the cost of top speed) and the wide tire will help with cornering.
Personally a civic sitting on a Light weight set of 15X7.5s with some wide and sticky tires looks pretty pimp to me. of course i'm a race nut.
