Radiator Fan Switch

While wiring my V-AFC II I noticed that there is a signal to the ECU for the radiator fan.....

the thought is....cutting this wire and running it to a 2-pole switch to allow the fan to be turned on at the track while the car is off.....this would allow the turbo and the rest of the engine to cool down....

I imagine you could wire directly to the fan, or to the relay in the fuse box...
what would be best....??

I run mine off the pattery with a switch and fuse...so when my hood is open,
I turn on the fan.

What about crossing the relay? The place right above the cup holder has a nice area for some switches...

You need to get an electric water pump also. If you just turn the fan on without the water pump running you will cool the coolant in the radiator very well but not the rest of it. When you go to turn the car on you can risk the chance of cracking the block if it's cold enough. The electric water pump will circulate the coolant that the electric fan is cooling so that the engine is cooled properly.

Nah, using the relays you can turn on one of the fans....and 5 minutes in between races at the track is not going to cool the engine enough to crack the block considering how hot everything will already be....
