cold air inake, is located outside of the engine bay thus taking colder air then a short ram intake(sri) , but it really depends on where you are located, and the laws in that area if you care if you dont just get the sf turbo and ugrade interals, crank pulley whatever , go to www.dh-racing.com more serious motor work, if all you want is bolt ons then get an hp header, high flow cat pullies cam gear vafc2 nos whatever you want

if you're really serious about horsepower, get a turbo kit (SF turbo). or just get a k20 motor (RSX motor). other than that, you're pretty much wasting your money on the stock motor of the civic.
I sure wish my car was newer

Swap is upwards of $6,000. Turbo is about $3,000. Both get about the same hp, but the swap has a lot more potential. The turbo gets you to the max you'll ever get from this engine.
damn, thats really depressing to hear.......i guess i am going to have to go with a turbo kit.........i really just wanted a new Evo, but if it werent for those damn pigs i would have one....
mclean.....where do you live..i may be interested in those headers, what type are they

yeah...i would say, unless you plan to go to the strip or go autoX.. the only thing you should do is SHOW. i plan to go very light on show...and hardly any go. all I want to do next is a new muff or perhaps even just a tip..cause the stock tip looks like poop. nasty stinky poop. otherwise....i plan to buy an old mr2 to go autoX w/. word.
My SL65 rim, because a rim is all I can afford

Careful with the turbos though, don't expect to get 200K miles from your car if you turbo it, or even 100K. and the turbo may only cost 3G's but you are going to need a new clutch among other things (like internals). If you plan on making real power with your turbo, better think more like 5G with the motor upgrades. And the trannies on turbo motors have a problem around hear, if you get on it once the wrong way, new tranny for you. Someone here with a turbo is on there 3rd tranny now, forget who though
And look at the dynos around here with the turbos, they are not that smooth, aka, power deleviery is not as good as with a K20 swap. VTEC makes most turbos spool slowly till the upper lobes open up and really start to let the air flow through.
