Anything other than hood pins?
Anyone have ideas for a fix, other than hood pins?
Well i thought of bolting a pices of metal(something) to the underside of the hood then attaching a metal teather (line) down to under the car were a small bolt would be with a hole for a cotter pin and the metal line would slip over the bolt and the cotter pin would keep it in place. So its like hood pins under the car. shall i diy this? BTW i still dont have my car back...its been over 3 weeks. IT WILL be done on monday. That had to recharge my A/C and now they have to fix the ABS.

OK right under my hood mouling is the hood, it looks like it was cut instead of rolled over in that spot. Plus there's a small gap between the moulding and the hood. So if air gets in there it "could" rip the hood off. I haven't gotten the car back yet but im worried about this.
If worse comes to worst i guess ill use hood pins. But right now it looks SO good without anything on the hood. Id really like to keep it clean like that.
So im trying to think of an idea that i could keep the hood down tight without using hoodpins.

having hood pins holding the hood from the top can insure your top half of the hood won't fly off, like one of the member's did
there is these hood locks, supermex have them on his car, still have to drill the hood though

umm if you bolt it to the bottom of the hood you are still gonna have to drill holes in the hood all the way through anyways to get the seats. Otherwise how would it stay on the bottom of the hood? Double Sided Tape? Yeah that won't make your hood fly off. Cause that tape is so strong.
P.S. that last part was sarcastic

Hood pins look straight as hell anywayz... why are u so worried it's gonna look like trash??? do you think any of the rest of us with carbon fiber hoods would have pins on if we were too worried it was gonna look bad on the car??? and besides u wanna be buying a new windshield and new hood after the first time u drive on the interstate??? or at freeway speeds??? and don't say well it doesn't always happen... it does the first time u do it...
