havocErnie is an unknown quantity at this point
Would there be any danger to having not enough weight on a daily driven car? for example when it rains?

not really, but an issue you may run in to is weight distribution.

as you take things out of the car, specificly with our cars, most of that junk is going to come out of the back. which means that your weight distribution # increase twards the front........ which means that its probably a good Idea to transfer some of the Items in the Engine bay that can be moved, and put them in the back. The Battery would be a good thing to do this with. of course I'm talking about wieight distribution for handling. For dragracing you want as much weight on the drive wheels as possible (with the car as light as possible)

thats pretty much the same thing. Idealy you want equal weight on each tire. when you read that a car has a 50/50 weight ratio, it just means that half the weight is on the front and half is on the back, for performance, you need to know the corner weights as well as the cross weight.

Good explination of this concept.
Corner weight and Cross weight
