For an oil change they won't say anything, but if you ever have to go in to get something fixed while under warranty, they may blame it on the mods, depending on the dealership. Some do, some don't.
And yeah, why would you go to the dealer for an oil change - do it yourself man, it's fun!

they were all tripping out because i had rims. something was wrong w/my brakes, and the guy started bringing up stuff about how the rims will make the car ride rough, etc. I was not asking about the rims bonehead. i was asking about the brakes. they act as if all cars are supposed to be kept stock or else they will turn to crap in 24 hours.

i don't change mine untill i see the oil light go on......
yeah right. i change my oil every month, and i allways take it to the dealership, or a "honda certified" place of business.
i do this for the resale value.
if i sell my car, and someone wants to bitch about my high millage, i can let them ren a car fax, or i can go to the dealership(or any honda dealership) and i can bring up my car records showing the 30 oil changes i've gotten, plus the radiator flushes(2), plus the tranny fluid, and any other thing that's been done. it costs a little more to do things like that, but when i sell my car, it'll be that much easer...

I don't think you have anything to worry about, dude. Like its been said, its YOUR car. And if they give you crap about it, just say, "Thank you very much", be on your way, and go to a Honda certified tech from then on. Screw the dealership.
my dealership didn't say anything...last time i brought it there for my 20k maintenance check i just installed my teins the night before! they didn't say anything about it...so don't worry...unless they're complete jerks...

Sorry to inform you, but you are wasting your money. I've valuated cars for trade, auction, and resale all of my career. We generally use valuation books (Black Book being the most common), and nowhere in the book is an add for frequent oil changes or maintanence. The dealerships generally ask you if you have the records, so when you say "no" they can tell you why they are giving you such a low bid. The bid is the same regardless, I guess you've just bought into their pitch. Does CarFax even show oil changes because the car history reports I get, don't? By the way, every 5k is more than adequate for the frequency of oil changes.

The guys from the sales department like to check out my car each time I park in the lot, because I pretty much have something new done to it each time I go there. I've gotten props for my 2003 console and power windows!

i change it every month or so. (6 weeks) about every 3500-4500 mi.
any i prob. won't sell it to any dealer, most likely a private buyer. they like things like that.
if someone could prove they changed the oil every month, I WOULD BE more likely to buy from them over someone who can't prove anything because they "did it themselves." i'd say, "how offten?" they'd say, "uhhh.....every 3000 miles..." yeah right. i choose proof.
