Angry Crashed-Suspension @$#%

I need big help guys. My car was in an accident 2 years ago and my suspension was never checked out by the mechanics. I noticed that the inside of the 2 front tires was worn down, I thought great camber problem.

My mechanic tells me that my shock tower and possibly the lower control arm is bent. My question is will my insurance cover this?
I switched from State Farm to Allstate recently. Am I screwed? Howmuch would this cost to repair?Guys I need any advice that would help. I've been busting my *** to pay for this car since I was 16 and I don't need the additional cost.

ohhh... thats a tough question. i think the chances are that insurance wont conver it because its been so long since the accident. if you found out after that accident, then that would be diffrent, but thats not the case. also, switching insurance companies doesnt help either. best thing you can do is call insurance. oh, and the repair doesnt sound cheap either.
good luck!

the control arms will be a few hundred. do youself a favor if you need to save. find the nearest junkyard, bring your crew, and start ripping apart a civic in there.

i hit a curb last winter and ended up bending my front left lower control arm...
i went to http://car-part.com/ (it's an online database for scrapyards..)and found one for about $100cdn.. and got my local shop to replace it...
the dealership wanted to charge me around $300 for it plus labour..

good luck... and get it fixed soon.. it's not too safe driving around like that...

How far off is the camber? If the suspension is mechanically sound but just bent, maybe a camber kit is all you need.

no the camber is -2.3 degrees, I tried the camber kit, but my mechanic says that its the lower control arm and shock tower. btw, can anyone show me a pic of the camber kit for the 02 civics, the lower one. My mechanic also said that the camber kit I ordered from Circa-X is the wrong one.

my camber was around the same... the biggest difference will be when u replace the lower control arm...

i doubt your shock tower is that bad... replace u're control arm and try a camber kit... if it doesn't work properly then get a new front strut...

check www.tornactive.com for the SPC front camber kit, i think thats the one u need
