does msd have any igntions that work on our car ? how about this one ?
DIS-4 HO, 2, 3, or 4-coil packs, high output ignition. Part# 6215. Was on my truck but had to remove it because the truck was rear ended and considered totaled. Engine and MSD Ignition were completely unharmed. It was on my truck for appox. 6,000 miles and works perfectly. Maximize your vehicle’s distributorless ignition system (DIS) with MSD’s powerful new ignition controls; the MSD DIS-2 and DIS-4. These Ignition Controls feature Multi-Channel capability, and can deliver up to 470 volts to the primary side of most DIS type dual output coils. With its two channels, the MSD Digital DIS-2 is designed for use on all 4-cylinder applications using 2 coils, while the DIS-4 can be used on all 6 and 8-cylinder engines with three or four coils. Like the popular MSD DIS ignitions, this DIS-HO model is designed for vehicles with distributorless ignition systems with 2, 3, or 4-coil packs. This HO model produces an incredible 170 milijoules of energy with 470V going to the coil packs, plus the CD circuits deliver a series of multiple sparks below 3,000 rpm! This combination is more than capable of completely burning the fuel mixture of race engines with through-the-roof cylinder pressures. This DIS-HO ignition shares all of the same built-in features and multiple sparks of the original DIS ignitions. For more infor visit: http://www.msdignition.com/sci_4.htm
