Pep-boys Breather
ok what the hell would be the purpose of a breather and where does it go on our cars.... this has always beena a question i forget to ask but... ok my friend says he put a breather on his gsr and it gave him 10hp (personaly i think he is full of ****) help me prove him wrong

Rep Power: 0 You are correct, he is full of sh-it. The pep boys breathers are made by APC which is complete garbage, my friend had one and the filter broke off the hose...complete waste. Anyway it connects to the valve cover. It is the hose from the valve cover to the intake, it lets gas re-circulate into the intake and get burned in the cyl. You will not gain much if anything. The only gain would be from getting a full cold charge instead of having a drop of heated gas in there. No benefit. They are needed if you are running a turbo setup. don't waste your time or money.

LMAO .... i can't believe some of the fruits out there that think this kinda sh*t... i mean honestly... these kinda people deserve to total their cars with them stuck inside of them.... lol... i still can't believe his friend would claim that

Rep Power: 0 Hey gangsta, you should check out the thread where this kid claims that I/H/E a VAFC and a AEM Cam gear gave him 40+ HP. Mclean or something, "CAM GEAR HOOK UP". Man some of these people shouldn't even be allowed behind the wheel. and his "hookup" is just some dude that sells them on ebay and he bought one. HELLO! anyone that searches for "AEM CAM GEAR" gets this "awesome hookup".

Rep Power: 0 mclean, everyone knows you cant gain 40whp with just that setup, lots of people have that same **** on there car, and you might gain 10, 15 max, so just drop it man, you act like none of us have these parts or some ****, and you keep sayin you seen the dyno sheet, well it must of been wrong, or you need new glass's

Rep Power: 0 hahah i red that trend to. its not possible dude there is no way . apexi give u like 2 hp its nothing it was designed to have ur car more responsive and to make ur car breath and give to ur specs. (but little blue screens do add 40hp)

I think what he means is he gained that power where it was lacking before... for example... say you only get 60 hp at 3000 rpms... not hes getting more power there, but hes not talking about gaining 40 hp above the stock 127.... you guys all need to grow up and stop ripping on each other..
