Exclamation Carbon Fiber HELP

Damn it, i just typed this thread and when i submitted it, the site crashed... ohh well.

anyways, short version is ive been researching working with carbon fiber. from my research ive gathered ill need the following:

1) carbon fiber material
2) epoxy resin, i was told 314 w/medium hardener. did the guy mean that was the type of resin or i need a hardener also
3) some sort of final coat, UV protectant?

so, tell me if ive got the basic procedure down:

1) apply resin to carbon fiber
2) apply carbon fiber to piece to be covered
3) vaccum seal so it bonds well
4) after it bonds ill need to sand it down smooth
5) im assuming ill need some sort of finish, like a UV protectant or whatever gives it the shine and 3D look.

can someone let me know any products im leaving out that ill need and let me know if ive got the procedure down correctly? thanks in advance

i use the wet lay up method. i have some pics of the pillars i made in my members ride. You need to get epoxy resin and a hardner. Look up wet lay up cuz its much to explain but its easier.
