Headlight Clearing Question
I read the DIY about headlight clearing and it just stops after the headlight is disassembled. I just want to know the correct way to re-assemble it and what kind of sealant to use when I put it back together. I really want to do it right so I get a good seal and no condensation will occur.

simply just reverse the disassembly process...
take your time and look at what your doing and it wont be hard at all
FOR SEALING:
GE Kitchen & Bath Silicone II Sealant
2.8oz. tube
CLEAR
Home-Depot...$2.97
FOR PAINTING:
'High-Heat' spray-paint
BLACK
Home-Depot...$3.94
*no prep needed, just sprayed it*

I didn't use anything to re-seal it...there was enough factory sealant left to just press it back to geather(will take a little muscle). I have had mine done for about 3 months now and I havn't had any problems with condensation yet.

SEALING
Just pop both halves back in the oven and let the goo soften. Squeeze them back together and let dry. Easy. I've never had any problems. You may want to borrow some of the goo to hold the reflector in place or it will be loose.

sometimes mine fog up in the mornings now that I'm living in a humid area. It's the sockets that are most likely the problem-they're just screw on.
