Question Headlight Clearing Question

I read the DIY about headlight clearing and it just stops after the headlight is disassembled. I just want to know the correct way to re-assemble it and what kind of sealant to use when I put it back together. I really want to do it right so I get a good seal and no condensation will occur.

Just put it back together the way you took it apart. Reverse directions.

I didn't use anything to re-seal it...there was enough factory sealant left to just press it back to geather(will take a little muscle). I have had mine done for about 3 months now and I havn't had any problems with condensation yet.

I did it on my friend's car and by morning the headlight was all foggy and s**t. I'm not doing it on mine. I'll save up and buy the real blacked out ones.

SEALING

Just pop both halves back in the oven and let the goo soften. Squeeze them back together and let dry. Easy. I've never had any problems. You may want to borrow some of the goo to hold the reflector in place or it will be loose.

sometimes mine fog up in the mornings now that I'm living in a humid area. It's the sockets that are most likely the problem-they're just screw on.
