well. i just install denso with stock wires. to me, no different at all. from what i heard. with new wires (10mm) you will get better response. but so far, i only have the plugs, that's all i can tell you

heh. what wires?
IMO, those spark plugs only last longer.. hardly worth the money.
our stock platinum cost a lot too.. its suppose to last quite a bit. I dont see why everyone's running off changing them.
when its time for me to get a new plug.. I'll either try NGK's Iridum IX, simply cuz its cheap (well, $7 per plug is still expensive) or get some other Denso/NGK for $2-$3 each.
if your plugs are dying too early.. you may have a problem...

the wires for the spark plugs, if you asked me what wires.
i heard the same thing, if not upgrade the wires, it just wasting money on NEW performance spark plugs.
anyone know what good recommended brand.

Spark plug wire,
THis was off eBay:
NGK Spark Plug Wire Set You are bidding on a brand new NGK Spark Plug Wire Set. These 7mm wires provide superior firing, fuel savings, outstanding durability, and excellent overall performance. The wires install easily and are tailored to the make and models specified for a perfect fit. A small price for a big upgrade.

i saw those last year and was thinking about buying them...but man, if you look on the list, ours is the most EXPENSIVE!! 500 bux....damn. if i had money to spend on them i would. i saw some dudes yahoo page, and he had a 7th gen civic and he said he installed them and noticed a huge difference....i'm callin BS on that, kuz if they did somethin, don't u think we'd all know about the performance factor on those already??
DENSO IRIDIUM IQ16-5301 SPARKPLUGS SET of 4 Item number: 2427457658
"These Plugs will make more power on virtually any engine, regardless of condiotion. Denso themselves dyno'd a Civic 1.8 L Race Engine, and managed to Massage 59 more HP from Switching from Platinum to Iridium Plugs. How Much Will You Get? Probably not anywhere near 59HP, But you will get an honest 5-10 HP on Non Turbo Engines, and 10-25 on Turbo and Twin Turbo Engines."
That is of ebay.
Any thought on the 5-10 hp part?

ROFLMAO.... Wires... OMG our motors are on Direct Ignition coil packs... that means no spark plugs wires and no phsyical ignition distributor .... I'm amazed at how he even showed a example of spark plugs wires..... i wonder has he even looked under the hood yet

a lot of people with the coils have said that they go bad fast. i dont think its worth the money unless you are a baller and have that kind of cash to throw away... i have denso ik20's and i have nothing to compare it to because i swapped em in a long time ago. maybe i should put factory plugs in to see if i can notice a different now that i have boost.

Haha....I was just laughing at your choice of words....it reminded me of my roomate....
I guess its the profuse use of the word "balla."
But yeah, I agree.....I mean, if I could get an "engineering" sample from them to see how the thing is made up - take it apart and see if it IS a quality piece of equipment, and see WHY they fail like they do. My guess is because they are pushing the part past or near its limits (it appears that all they do is modify a stock coil, which is why they want your old ones back - core charge). But I bet they really don't do much but put a DC / DC converter under that coil pack, with an LED, and a fancy cap - and charge freakin' $500 for the damn things. I can't believe they charge that much for such a simple modification.
