Can I change the shifter on the auto?

Hi all I was wondering if it is possible to change the shifter on the automatic to something nicer? I saw one in a magazine that has extra buttons to control the stereo volume or raise and lower the windows and all kinds of stuff but it looks like a ball like you would put on the manual so is it possible to do it or not?

You can get shifter that has those buttons, but your gonna have to wire them to what you want. It would work no doubt because all a shifter actually is really is a stick.

If I remember correctly, Greg [MugenRacerX] at www.hondawerx.com told me it was $38 for the Manual shift boot. That's pretty good. I'd recommend going thru him. I bought mine from my dealer though. . . for $42 [you can check my sig for a pic of it].

Oh, and the pic I posted belongs to InanimatCarbonRod. You can check out SkiLLsZter's ride as well.

has anyone tried to do the shifter chance with say... a b&m ratcheting shifter for a fourspeed auto tranny ... like the chevy 400... I was just wondering if the length that the cable travels is the same then basically any shifter you wanted would work
