Speed sensor location
no man, not disconnect it. my guages turn off on my..like the needles just drop to 0...the only thing i was told that could fix this is
1) make sure the cluster is plugged in
2) check the speed sensor clip
3) check ecu wires
i have done 1 and 3 and everything is plugged in so the last thing i need to check is my speed sensor clip.

I'm guessing here... so if I'm wrong oh well. Lift up the car and look on the back side of the hub on the right front. There's a probe of some sort that is directed at a "gear" that isn't hooked up to anything, but it rolls on the hub. That might be it. Maybe you can trace it back somewhere.
I'm trusting that you're doing this to fix the problem and not creating an illegal one.

Are you referring to the VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor)? If you looking to replace it, its not illegal to. In my Helms manual, it says:
1. Remove the intake resonator.
2. Disconnect the 3P connector from the VSS.
3. Remove the mounting bolt, then remove the VSS.
4. Install the VSS in the reverse order of removal.
From the pic it looks like its on top of the tranny, under the intake resonator.
