i don't know anything specific about the penzoil injector cleaner, but i do know some stuff about STP injector cleaner. i know that it is fairly corrosive and should be used up as quickly as possible if you decide to use it. STP fuel injector cleaner contains small amounts of monoethanolamine, which will decompose nylon. i'm not sure about the civic's fuel tank, but some cars use a nylon 'sock' on the fuel pickup. i hope this info helps. my advice is use whatever injector cleaner you wish, but be sure to add it to a full tank (preferably near the end of an oil change interval) and be sure to use up the tank as quickly as possible.

Ok, well we go through a tank of gas in a week give or take a few days, so is that fast enough? Also, how often should you use this stuff? I'm guessing everytime you change your oil is overboard?

Just use a good quality gasoline with cleanser additives. No need for fuel injector cleaner.

Ok cool, and you find that it works good? Of course you always have to put that stuff in a full tank of gas right?

I thought you add it to an empty tank and then fill it.
