Question Can a "Universal muffler" be modified into a mendrel bend exhaust?

Sorrie, I am new so please don't blast at me for my stupid post. Anyways, I bought a skunk2 universal muffler instead of the exhaust ( stupid move ), so now I kinda want a exhaust since I am thinking of going turbo with SF and I was wondering if there is anyway I can keep my muffler but do some custom work to it so it could work like a exhaust? Or is there parts I could get instead of investing on a whole new exhaust system. Thank.

any muffler shop can fabricate piping for u..it'll cost anywhere from 40-100 bucks...i know a place that has mandrel bends at 15 per bend, with 2.25 inch piping...i wouldnt worry about custom exhaust, it can perform just as good as a full cat back exhaust system if the people u go to do a good job.

ok one more thing, if I am gonna go turbo, I was thinking of getting a catback system, or should I stick with my skunk2 uni, and custom the mendrel bend and invest on a midsection. Which the better thing to do plus price wise versus performance.

skunk2 makes a catback for the 7thGen...well, the EX coupe at least. but if youre gonna go turbo maybe wait till you get that and then custom make the whole exhaust after the turbo. just so that you wont have to redo some of the sections since you most likely will have to if you put the turbo on later.

just remember the cat...might as well go with a hi-flow cat when/if you get the turbo.

skunk2 has a nice sound...but ive only heard the catback system, not the universal.

by the way when i get custom piping, do u think they have like stainless steel? Or is it just gonna be that crapy OE material from the stock?
