Hi Guys, Last Week I Was Talkking To One Of My Friends He Asked What Have I Put In My Engine I Told That Basically Nothing Well Nothing Would Be The Exact Word Cause I Just Got The Car, He Recommended Me To Replace The Head That Will Give Me Like 200 Hp Just Like That Is That True??? But By Doing That Will You Mess Up The Engine?? And What Type Of Head Do I Have To Get??? He Told That Just Replace The Head Instead Of Putting Headers On The Car, Well I Dont Im New In All These So I Will Need Your Help Guys.
I highly doubt putting a new head on your car would make 200 hp.. think about it, if that was true everyone would be doing it. You have no reason to do a head swap because you already have vtec. The only thing that you could do to your existing head is build it up with stage 1 or 2 camshaft, valvetrain upgrade etc.

Camshafts come in stages, each stage increases horsepower which is why anything over stage 2 is going to need a valvetrain upgrade which would be your valve springs and retainers. If you go turbo you can run about 6 psi of boost on your stock engine but i think it would be better if you could find a used kit off of a forum because they will include everything you need. Otherwise your going to need to buy it all urself turbo timer, manifold, e-manage, intercooler piping etc.
Actually If Your Name Is Correct And Its A 2002 Si, Definitely Do The Head Swap, The Thing For That Car Was To Put The Rsx Type S Head On It, You Will Gain 20-25 Whp, And Not Lose An Ounce Of Torque. Then Start With Bolt Ons.
