You can do a lot of things. First of all.

You mentioned you raced the same exact car and you kept losing.

How do you drive? Are you experienced in drag race driving?

And all cars are different so you might've just gotten a bad bean.

You can go turbo or hit the bottle.

And you can always go with an I/H/E but check with your warrenty first even though it shouldnt void it or if you dont care then that's fine.

And last. The motor you got isnt all that fast. I mean it's a good motor but I beleive that is the same motor in the base model RSX.

If you really got the money an RSX motor would be really good but isnt nessecary.

Just save some money and boost your car and you'll love it.

There could be something wrong. Maybe. ALl cars are built differently, as in not all the same power.

Why dont you guys do this. Why dont you drive his car and let him drive your car, then race.

Tell me who wins.

And as for an intake. it wont really do much. Not enough to make you win. But just get a intake/header/exhaust and that'll free up some HP that's getting restricted. As for the intake you dont need a $300 intake.. Just get a cheap CAI from ebay or something. same difference.

And if you really dont want to boost then You could always hit the bottle too.

Yea a nice 50 shot of a zex wet kit will def get your tires moving and is safe to use as long as you know the right things to check

I also tend to shift my 00 SiR around 7500 RPM. The VTEC change over isn't til around 5400 or 5500 I think. I also only have bolt on mods but have never lost to another civic that wasn't boosting or on the bottle.

had one

I used to have an 02 si, stock i ran 15.79, if you are racing the same car another 02 si make sure you guys are coming off the like at the same rpms, also if hes dumoing the clutch and you are slitghly feathering the clutch that could make a difference, tire tread and depth could make the difference there are a lot of different factors.

nice car though i miss mine we had a lto fo fun together
