Mugec Civic Si or Civic R.Which would you buy?

If the Civic R FD2 was available in the U.S,would you buy the Civic R FD2 or the Mugen Civic Si?Yes,the Civic R FD2 is stronger performance wise.To me,they're both equal in exterior.Interior is also a tie. But,performance wise, the Civic R FD2 wins. The bigger 225/40 tires and the 222 hp engine is clearly better than the 215/40 tires on the Mugen Si and the Mugen Si's 197 hp engine. The redline on the Civic R FD2 is 8600 while the Mugen Si's is 8000.If these cars were to race, the Civic R FD2 would win the race. But this performance of the FD2,is at a cost.If the Civic R FD2 were to go on sale in the U.S,it would cost nearly $40,000!The Mugen Civic Si is on sale in the U.S for $29,500.This $10,500 difference can do a lot in tuning the Mugen Civic Si.The 28 hp difference can be diminished easily with maybe $2,500.The tires can be on the same level for about $1,600 maybe. That leaves you with roughly $5,900 to do what you like.
With this said, which Civic would you choose?

Neither they are both 2 expensive for the amount of power they have. With 40,000 you can almost get the new shelby gt 500 and that completely out performs them both.

Hahahaha.Agreed.I wouldn't buy either of them.Honda is trying to rip people off with these cars both in the U.S and Japan.Especially with the Mugen Si.The regular Si sedan is $22,000.The Mugen version is $7,500 more, but no increase in power,Just a face lift for the front bumper and a FD2 wing.I don't think that's worth the $7,500 more.

You USDM guys don't know how lucky you are. In Canada a Civic Si starts at $29,000, and GT500 is closer to $70,000.

i cant imagine paying more than 20k for a civic. its a civic, its supposed to be cheap! the mugen si just has a bunch of overpriced exterior accessories, nothing you cant do yourself for 1/4 the price. it looks nice, but for that kind of money you can buy much better cars.
