Unhappy stalling

My 03 civic wont go about 20 miles per hour and it feel like it want to stall...the rpm will go up to about 5 the quickly drop back to 3 or somewhere there but the car isnt goin anywhere....help

do you have a check engine light on? Sounds like you should.

there is no check engine light on only a light the look like oil maybe for the tranny....

Thats your oil pressure light. It basically means you more than likely need a new engine

Check your oil, if it's okay your oil pump is probably toast which means your engine hasn't been getting oil for a while. Which means everything is seized and fried in there

ok so its not a oil light its a check engine light sorry i am clueless about cars the code reads P0730

so i took the car to a transmission shop i am happy i dont need a transmission it is perfectly good or so they say.....thing is the mechanic dont want to tell me whats wrong with the car maybe because the transmission inspection was for free...he wants me to give him $300 for the labor and then pay for parts separate

tell him unless he tells you whats wrong your taking your car elsewhere. You should always know whats wrong with it before they do the work.

exactly. It opens it up for them to scam you. Just be happy you haven't given them any money yet and take it to someone else.

wat i want 2 kno is if a speed sensor could cause this problem bcoz b4 this started my speedometer wasnt workin properly it would work only sometimes
