What to do with my civic?
What to do with my civic?
1999 Honda civic SI (ex in the U.S)
Well, my civic is getting close to 200,000km (125,000 miles) And its still in good condition but there is a bit of rust on hood and paint peeling all over the place.
I currently have a cold air intake and headers and a SIR(american si) exhaust.
Car runs great, still gets great mileage.. but I don't know if I should drive it till its dead(put another grand or two on it) or just give up on it?
First of all I want a louder exhaust, can I just buy exhausts that'd connect directly to my current SIR(SI) exhaust I have on my car? If so.. what should I look for? Skunk2? Apex-i N1?
I guess I should get my timing belt done, transmission flush, might as well change AC pump and Power steering.. as something is squeeling around that area..? And maybe get my coolant flush done too?
Any suggestions at all for my car?
Thanks!!!!!

Re: What to do with my civic?
keep going with it imo unless you have plans for another car you'd really like! it's a honda, you can drive them forever, you probably have at least half it's life span right now as long as you took good care of it
all of those sound like good things to do at about that time if you haven't done it for awhile, some of them you can probably do yourself(tranny flush is uber easy, and honda will rape you with like $70 per fill if you take it to them iirc)
not really sure how the exhaust thing works though, but you may wanna think twice about trying to get a louder exhaust, depending on how loud you get it :P my civic came with a pretty loud exhaust and i just stuck with it since it's not too much of a concern for me, but everytime i go up a hill or need to give it some gas i feel like a huge tool sometimes when people just turn around expecting something awesome, then they're like oh, a lolhonda. that's just my opinion though :P not gonna hate on anyone for an exhaust
anyways sorry for rambling on, just my 2 cents
