i am putting some 18s on my civic.. but my decision is down to these last two rims... which one do you like better? i tried photoshoping it..

The first ones. In my opinion 18's fill the car out nicely. Anything less looks too small. i have 18's on mine. And chrome over black anyday.

I feel like the first rims say, "i just want to cruise."
the seconds ones seem more aggressive, "I could punch it if i want to."

so I would go with the second ones. if they don't have them in stock, i'd wait for them instead of getting the first ones, unless you really like those.

yeah i was thinking the same. second is more of a sporty look, first is more of a show look. both look nice but i would pick second one.

I prefer the first one, but in 19s. The more chrome, the better. Try out 20s. It might work. I bet you'll turn heads.

i have been doing some thinking.. ton of people told me not to get 18s and chrome. said you hit every pot hole and bump and your tires go by fast... some guy said he went through like 8 pairs of tires lol.. from 18s..

but here what i was thinking.. what about getting 17's and the ones that have the inserts, and can change the inserts to my car color.

well it depends on the roads, if you have bad potholes and stuff it may be wiser to go with a smaller rim. 18+ uses much thinner tire and will be very easy to bend a rim (and pop the tire ofcourse).

i do a lot of driving.. school and work.. but i do go on the interstate a good bit.. anybody have any links to some sick rims? that come with tires.. i have around a grand to spend and maybe you can help me with suggestions.

I agree with no chrome, but listen. This is YOUR car, you do what you want with it man. If you want chrome, get chrome. Everyone has their own opinion. You have lots of choices for 1000 dollars, search on ebay, the for sale threads in this forum, your local shops... The major makers are ones like Rota, Volk, BBS, I've heard good things about Drag(the company). Search and you will find them. There is so much information about rims in this forum it's unbelievable.
