there's got to be a better motor
Hey guys, have not found a section that deals with engines so here is my new question. I have heard somthing about swapping my factory engine for a more robust power plant. Anyone have any details?
whats involved? average cost? concerns? type/models?
when swapping the engine, does auto/stick matter?
I got an 03 EX, auto.
suggestions

Re: there's got to be a better motor
This is the most covered topic on the forum. Search and you will find
Your options are a K20 or turbo, so it's up to you. A k20 swap is very expensive and a turbo is hard to do right.

This is the second most covered topic on the forum, and it has a great search function. The D17 motor does not respond well to bolt ons unless you put on a turbo. Your basic three are intake, exhaust, and header but you won't see much performance gain, if any. Sorry, can't really help ya.
