can some1 please help me???

hi, I have a honda civic eg with a h22 conversion, I bought the car cheap as the boy lost his job and needed cash. The car got plugged in to computer last week to read the fault code, the fault code is (P1298) Which is the : ELECTRIC LOAD DETECTOR VOLTAGE HIGH: I dont no what this is lol The guy at the garage said he would put it down to faulty wiring, can anybody help and tell me what i can do to solve the problem please. The car has'nt run right from i bought it really looking forward to getting it running right, got big plans for the car but want it running right first.
Please help if u can?
THANKS

Re: can some1 please help me???

ELD controls the alternator voltage output. usually its located (and integrated with) the fuse box. so a new fuse box will prolly fix it.
