advanced timing
any problems running advanced timing i advanced today and feel much better lower end just wondering if it will cause any problems dont really care about gas mileage im only getting about 23 right now
Re: advanced timing
Advanced timing is safe as long as you arent getting any knock or pinging. You need to be logging your knock sensor in heavy weather and monitor for problems. I wired my knock sensor to my SES light in my Evo so I can see it on the dash when I get a knock. It is much better to graph your run with a laptop. With increased octane you will be able to get more knock resistance .

Re: advanced timing
Just like Jp7 said watch for knocking and your check engine light. I tweaked mine the other day and runs good. Ill have to find the name on the recorder i use from work but you plug it in your obdII connector and drive you car. then when your done plug it in the pc and it will show you full graph and everything on how your car was running. it very handy tool.

I paid around $100 when i got mine off the matco truck. But everytime i do something to one of my cars I use this then i can compare to see where it makes a difference.
