Removing dealership decal on an 02?
Removing dealership decal on an 02?
Hey,
I'm just wondering if it is a good idea to remove my dealership decal this late in the game or will the paint fade be bad? It's a Satin Silver Metallic coupe and the decal is black.
It looks identical to this, except wherever there is a black part on there, it is paint on mine, and all the white area is black... there are a lot of letters and lines and stuff that are stuck on there individually.

Would it be worth it or would the paint fade be bad?
What's the best way to remove it?

well more than likely it will be fine. i just removed the "accord" emblem from our family 92 accord and the paint looks perfect compared to surrounding areas. you could never tell there was an emblem there. use a heat gun to soften the letters and then pick them off with your nail. be careful not to heat it too much and not to scratch the paint.then use goo gone for the glue residue and a good wax after that. if colors look weird, blend it all together with some scratchx and then wax.
