I'm thinking about getting some tints in about a week or so but not sure if I should get 20 or 5
any suggestions?
also if anybody have pictures they would like to post up would be nice so I will be able to see the difference on the car

I was in the same boat when I wanted tint, I ended up with 25. I don't have many pics but here's an older one and a newer one with some decent angles. They are dark in the day like a stock tint on the back windows of some cars. Then at night they are dark as hell. I've had people come up to the car to check it out while I was sitting in it and they were freaked out when they finally noticed I was in there. lol. I think they are a modest tint and will keep you from being hassled by Johnny Law or backing into **** because you can't see through your limo tint.

25 looks nice on your car, it looks pretty dark
but the thing is I got an EX which has a sunroof which would make the tints look lighter than they already are...... I'm really thinking 5% right now ???

im retarded lol, posted a sarcastic comment in the wrong thread. anywho, i settled with 35 percent all around. i cant imagine having anything darker cause it would suck to drive at night. right now its not bad at all.

this is after 5 yrs of having the tint with the car sitting in the sun everyday

I went with 30 but i had a 7 percent factory tint on it so its around 24 25ish i would go 30 if i was you just so you wont have to get it taken off and redone if you go to dark and get a fix it ticket

Sorry, don't have any pics yet. But I just got 20 on the fronts, and 5 on the rears about 2 weeks ago. It is a little hard to back up in the dark, but I think the rear window looks awesome with almost a solid black from the outside. Plus I drive on the freeway in the early morning everyday, and I never have to flip my rear-view anymore to not be annoyed by the headlights behind me.

Yea, I usually try to just roll my windows down when I see a cop. I haven't tinted the windshield though. My neighbor who's brother did my tint job, got pulled over for the 20% on his fronts, so he got the ticket taken care of then had his brother come back over and put 5% on them, lol! My windshield needs to be replaced, but I might not tint it even then because I've hit my fair share of deer here in Michigan. And it would kind of defeat the purpose of getting those silverstar headlights.

I'll try to get some pics on tomorrow after I wash some of the dirt off my car.

A friend of mine has 35%front 15% rear on his Subaru. Legal here is 50% front 35% rear for passenger cars.

I'm considering something similar to his for my civic. Typically tint ticket here is only given out as an extra kick in the teeth if you've been pulled over for something else (Speeding, etc)

That looks good man, what did you end up going with? Where I'm at I don't think you're allowed to tint the fronts either, unless it's like 35% or something. But the backs you can paint black if you wanted to.

I finally took the beater to the car wash then took some pics. Don't laugh at my front end damage, I'm trying to get the parts and money rounded up to fix it, didn't have full coverage when some dumbass pulled a U-ey in front of me and lost control, did a 180 back into my lane.

Here it's illegal to put any film whatsoever on the front windows... the tint could be 99% and it'd still be illegal unfortunately.
