Help!

okay so Ive had my 3rd civic for about a year now, and Ive just discoverd the frame rail on the left side is bent. its right where it connects to the core support. when i bought it i couldnt tell that anything was wrong, because everything lined up fine, it drove straight, everything was perfect. i hit a bump the other day and the left side of the car just "unbolted" or something. is there any way i could fix it myself? or am i gonna have to take it to a shop???

Re: Help!

it all depends on what mechanical skills you have.. . its pretty simple depending on where the trans mount is.. jack it up and crawl under the car.. see what it looks like under there. if the bolts are in or not. if the bolts look like they havent moved, then thats not what it is. but if your subframe looks bent get a new bar, its direct replacment, unbolt it and put the new one on. very simple. now if the bolts look like they have not moved, then you need to look at your trans and engine mounts. to me i sounds like one of those went bad. thats a little more difficult to swap out. shoot me a pm and ill give you a write up on it.
