06 si coupe build list

okay my parts list is becoming bigger by the day, luckily searching is now easier as people have provided me with some EXCELLENT products and manufacturers.

SO it begins!

GReddy 06 SI civic turbokit
http://www.turbo-kits.com/06-09_civic_turbo_kits.html

--------------------------------------------
Magnaflow Cat-Back exhaust system

(check out this page it has a group of sound clips of the 06 si in use, with nothing but their system)

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=all&id=3730
--------------------------------------------

DC sports 4-2-1 ceramic headers
http://hpautoworks.com/index.php?mai...oducts_id=1091
--------------------------------------------

Koni FSD shocks (Not 100% sure about these)
http://www.koni-na.com/fsd.cfm?x=67&y=10
--------------------------------------------

Fujita F5 SRI

--------------------------------------------

Exedy Racing Stage 1 Organic Clutch Kit
http://www.importrp.com/product.php?...7&cat=0&page=2

Re: 06 si coupe build list

does anyone know where to find a after market flywheel for the 06 SI? I cant seem to find anything. preferably 10-11 lbs?

Also, can you remove the valve cover to get the metal painted or should Oneself buy a replacement and get THAT one painted?

Re: 06 si coupe build list

If you are going to go turbo, you don't need a header or SRI. The turbo manifold works as your header and the turbo inlet works as the SRI. Headers and Short Ram intakes are only for NA cars, not boosted.

In regards to the VC, all depends on how much downtime you want. I got a spare one and used that while I got my other one powdercoated.

Check ebay for flywheels, that will at least give an idea of what manufacturers carry them and may give you some part numbers as well.

I'm not familiar with the 06-08 engines at all, so I can't help much with specifics.

Re: 06 si coupe build list

Like I said, I don't know anything about the new motors to say what kit would work and what wouldn't. It's a completely different motor than the D17, goofy one port exhaust mani, etc, etc. Hell, the Greddy is the first kit I've even heard of for that motor.

In regards to what flywheel....if you're looking to make 300whp, focus more on the clutch disc and pressure plate for their torque handling capacity than the flywheel.

Additionally, you're going to need more than a piggyback EMS to reach those kinds of numbers. But again, I don't know who/if anyone makes a standalone that is compatible for this motor.

well I know their is a lot more support and parts for the 05 si's but I'd have to kick my own *** if I drove it, they are ugly as sin(not a fan of hatchbacks)

By the way, seeing as the 05 has a worlds worth more support, did they ever make 05's without the HB? (not holding my breath)

do you think it would be easier to make 300whp in a 05 than an 06 given the nature of both cars support?

Wait a minute. Which Si do you have? The American (K20-powered) or the Canadian one?

Re: 06 si coupe build list

No no. It's just the 01-05 CDM Civic Si's are really USDM EX's with the D17A2. Aren't the SiRs or Type Rs (02-05) the K20 EP3s?

Re: 06 si coupe build list

wait a minute, your saying that the 01-05's over here are really D17's?

I looked it up though the 05 over here is a 2L v-tec k20.

you scarred me though.

anyways, you think it would be alot easier to make 300whp with a 05 than a 06?
