Idle speed

A friend told me that if i adjusted the idle speed and make it idle faster i would get better throttle response and maybe a little raise in the lower end of the power band. How good is this info? Any technical help with this would really be appreciated

Re: Idle speed

umm if you open the throttle ur gunna idle more while stopped it just means that it will already be at high rpm's, remember that our cars are better at high rpm's. thats all it is, i wouldnt suggest it and i doubt other guys on here would either.

Re: Idle speed

gonna have to agree here, its just a waste of gas, dont do it, ur warm up idle wont be right, itll idle at like 3k rmp, ull hate it when its cold, and itll idle up when u have loads on, and that will drive u nuts too, dont mess with it, period
