jdm engine swap

so i have a 2000 acura 1.6el and as the subject says, i'd like to throw a jdm engine in it. as most know, el is pretty much a civic so im curious if anyone would know if it's possible to put a jdm honda engine in, and if it uses the same mounts, etc. and if so, if anyone knows which would be the best to put in.

thanks for the help

Re: jdm engine swap

ok here goes. A jdm motor will fit. You will have to buy new motor mounts, ecu, wiring harness and cv axles. Most of the time you can find the whole swap with everything on ebay for a couple of grand.
