Warrantee?
Warrantee?
Just recently purchased a 2007 Honda Civic Si Sedan...New to cars and looking to do some work to the vehicle but I don't want to void my warrantee...Has anyone else purchased a new Honda and done modding without voiding their warrantee?
My first and easy beginning mods were going to be to tint my windows and paint my calipers red (black vehicle).
As for the outside, I think that is how I'd like to keep it. Engine modding is what I'm looking to do, but once again, without voiding my warrantee.
Feel free to mock me.

I'm not an expert on this situation, because it's kinda touchy. However there is a company called SEMA, which deals specifically with issues like this. If you go to your local Honda dealership, they'll just tell you that everything will void the warranty. You can try contacting SEMA, which is http://www.sema.org/Main/StartPage.aspx#
They might be able to tell you where to find information on this. Or there might be someone here that knows.....

Re: Warrantee?
1) If something causes a problem, it voids the warranty for that part. You lower the car and you snap some endlinks, the warranty is voided. If you put a CAI intake on and your transmissions busts, your warranty is NOT voided but the dealer will try to tell you it is. They are full of crap.
2) Some dealers install aftermarket parts that won't void your warranty. Because they are dealer installed, they warranty their work.
Some larger mods like turbos, nitrous and superchargers will automatically void the whole powertrain.
If you mess with any wiring, be prepared for a nightmare with the dealer if something breaks.
