CEL After Header Install

Hey everyone I have a friend that got some headers installed on his 98 Honda Civic. Now he's getting a CEL and I was wondering if that was normal, should he just drive it a bit before it will go away or should he put everything back on?

The only other thing he has on the car is a AEM CAI. The car was fine for about 7 hrs of driving, then when he went home from work he got the light. Should he reset his ECU, and if so will that make his radio unusable?

EDIT: I think his catalytic converter was taken off, would that be a reason for the CEL? Where can he go to get the code read?

i always just go to auto zone or a local parts store.. the big name chains should be able to read the code for free.. if his cat has been taken out, read up on how to make the ecu think it's there.. or something like that .. there's custom ways around it.. just figure out what works best..
