My Civic does me proud!

Ive been getting a lot of crap from my friends cause i bought an Ex and not the Si, well today after school me and one of my friends took off out of the parking lot and he is driving a dodge avenger, V6 turbo, the ES. He only pulled me for a secound and then i kept up with him until about 85 then we caught up with traffic. i asked him later if he had it floored and he said ya! My only guess to how i could keep up is two ideas, one i way less or he was in over drive. But still a V6 turbo should have pulled me insanly. This is no lie and my Civic more that amazed me today. Got to love Honda performance

Sorry to bust your bubble but even if his car was stock he would still pull on you(saying you are stock also). But since it is turboed he should have pulled on you allllott. Either he was messing around with you or he was takin it easy because you drive a honda.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

I once beat a Nissan Titan in a quickie street race in which I maxed at 81mph before I had to slow down for the light.

140hp, 4cyl vs 350hp 8cyl, 4 cyl wins. Yay.

Ah youth! Here's the proof of why insuring young men is so expensive. Personally I doubt a Civic sedan or coupe would do very well in a race without a lot of help.

Sometimes, it's the driver that makes a car. Can a stock 95 Civic Cx keep up with a Dodge Viper on the highway through traffic and open stetches? Can the same Civic embarass a Corvette?

Good point. If the Vette or Viper owners don't know how to drive them for purpose, then yes.

Wouldn't it also depend on your shifting? If you perfectly shift, I wouldn't dout you keeping up with him

You have to just plain suck if you cant make that V10 beat a civic!

My 238 hp RX8 could beat the hell out of many a faster car (350Z,stang GT, even c5 vettes) at autocross because you can keep the wheels movin faster in the twistys than those big front heavy muscle cars. Now at a stop light....I just pretend like I could hear them over the radio!

Yes, those heavy cars are near useless on corners and twisty roads.
I had a go with one once, they'd catch me on the straight but i'd lose them on the corners
