Rep Power: 0 Trust me the bigger you go the more problems your going to have. Bigger wheels will put alot of strain on the drivetrain and if you live in an area with bad roads ,forget about it.

I say stick w/ 17's...they give a clean look...not to mention I have seen price differences of $200-$300 just for an extra in. to 18's...and like tunerx said...it starts to put alot of strain on the car after 17's....you would probably want to have an upgraded suspension too...(unless you already have upgraded suspension and the money then i would stick w/ 17's)

I agree. 18s are overboard. Go with the 17s.
Anyone heard about those airless tires? Michellin or someone has invented them, but they are real heavy. They probably wont be on cars for 10 years, but they are pretty cool.

Rep Power: 0 Well I live in SoCal and a lot of the roads suck. The money is not an issue. I could afford a very expensive car if I wanted to, I prefer playing with my civic, so I can afford the best for it. I just like the look and it makes me standout a bit.
Is there anything I can do to reinforce the drivetrain to make the 18s more worthwhile? I would even consider replacing it altogether if that made a difference. I really want to get 18s.

Rep Power: 0 You would probably have to reinforce your suspension somehow( antiroll bar ,strut tower brace , something) and you would probably have to get heavier duty axles and steering knuckles. I think that's right I could be wrong.
