Need some help on deciding on a new deck, and its gonna be a mission, but it would be sooo appreciated! I've been going through crutchfield's catalogs comparing cd/mp3 decks and per specs the sony seems to be winning hands down. I'm interested in the CDX-F5700 Sony deck with the multi-color display especially the red color cause it seems to match us. If there is someone out there with this deck (or another in the sony line that has this color (with the same camera in same conditions) can you get a pick at night of the deck it dont matter the car its in and then with the same camera at night take a picture of the dash lights in our si's If someone could do this they could consider thier good deed points fulfulled for at least a year! The reason for the "same camera situation" is that i did the stock vs. mtec light thread and even witht the same camera it reacts different with the different light. If anyone takes this challenge on I thank you soo much

Whatever you do, don't get sony. It may look nice, but you'll regret it when the deck skips all the time. They aren't made well. Save up for something nice, like eclipse, alpine, or pioneer. And color matching is important.

My friend's Sony headunit skips soo badly. Every 10 seconds.

When I worked at Circuit City the Sony's were know as the worst decks you could buy because of the high cost and very low quality.

and i am mecp cetified and also the asst. sale and instaltion manager
i think the sony is just fine
all decks under 300 are the same inside ...
i see more jvcs (same as pioneer) come back then sonys


edit : clean you cd player if it skips or dont use a scratched up disk
like any other piece of electronic equipment it requires maint...

Mine works just fine - then again - mine isn't a slot loading sony and that's why I got it. It has the color changing display too.
