Si gas mileage???
I am thinking of getting a new Si. What kind of gas mileage have you all been getting in your Si's??? (real world mileage...you know... miles driven/gas put in tank) Thanks.

I get around 25 mpg overall, kinda sucks for a small car but I think its worth the extra power you have. I had a 02 EX that got 35 mpg but slow as hell, it was totalled so I bought a 03 Si.
I find the Si to be a much better built car than the EX, and its really nice to be able to pass trucks on the highway when your going 80 mph, the Si has power all over the place.

I drive an '01 Ex Coupe right now...I drive very "grandma-ly"...shifts for me are at 3k rpm...sometimes at 4k and I only get 25-28 mpg in mixed city/hghwy driving. I use cruise control as much as possible and only go 70. Why am I getting such poor gas mileage? My car is 100% stock...I was expecting close to the epa of 32-37 but I get nowhere near that. I have totally taken a liking to the Si and I love the new 16" wheels for the '04. Seems that the gas mileage will be about the same as my '01 Ex. I can't wait to see the '04 in person.

cars are a little more efficient at 3/4 throttle to get up to speed, then take i easy, its a little complicated but baisicly it has to do with the throttle "butterfly" getting in the way and making more turbulece, baisicly, with my 01 ex i was shiftin round 4500 and usin bout 3/4 throttle till i was up to speed, i was averagin 32-34 mpg city/highway, with about60-70% being city

btw, to figure mpg, the most accurate way is to always fill to the first click, then dont put any more in, that way it is the most identical every time you fill, then you just take the miles you went divided by whats on your receipt
