65robin is an unknown quantity at this point
code#P0505

I have a 1999 civic EX 5sp. Code P0505 keeps coming up. I cleaned IACV, and throttle body. I take car for a ride, and within a couple miles the check engine lite comes on . I keep code reader connected so when lite comes on I stop and turn off engine and reset check engine lite, and take off right away, and usually after driving 20 miles the lite comes back on , until the lite comes on the car runs perfect, but as soon as the lite comes on it runs like crap at low speeds. I have idled it with radiator cap off for 30 minuets trying to purge air out of the system. My next step is to remove the throttle body and clean it. I've cleaned it on the car. Could it be the ECU ? It runs perfect while the lite is off. "HELP" please. Thanks

Re: code#P0505

Got a real service manual? There should be a troubleshooting chart, it would be very similar to the one on post #30 in this thread http://www.clubcivic.com/board/showt...=196983&page=2 (The info in the post is for an Si, it may not be exactly the same as your car.)

Look at the bottom of that post in the posters signature, there are possible links to service info that might help.
