royal purple is crap when it comes to synthetics. it's about as good as mid-tier dino oils. maybe try valvoline synpower as that is readily available.

redline is WAY better than royal purple.
at the moment I have valvoline synpower in my car. however, I'm switching to havoline GF4 dino oil as soon as I change my oil again. the new havoline formulations apparently have some great chemical properties, add-in packs, and is turning out even better than most mid-tier synthetics out there.

I went from Mobil 1 to Royal Purple and I noticed a differance. Next time I'm buying Redline. The engine vibrates more than it should and I hear some knocking.
Call the Factory in Benecia
Bro:
RL is manufactured in NorCal, and they will ship, just call the 800 number and they will be polite and hook you up.
Call up the factory and tell them you want to buy a case of 5w20, and they will ship it. The last receipt I got was... 93.00 shipped to my door. Was cool as hell seeing the UPS guy carying a case of motor oil right to my freaking door. Also, the price isn't bad (Not great, it's still like 8.50 / qt) but it's worth it if ou like r/l. I've been using it at extended drains of like 9K with filter changes (mobil 1 m-104) at 3K miles, no problems here.
Also check out their mtl. that stuff is the bomb.
I'm not sure if I'll use it for much longer. I follow the bob is the oil guy (bobistheoilguy.com) forums and they pooh-pooh RL a lot in there, while saying that the German Castrol 0-w30 is better than anything. I may try that for a change or two, but I still have 4 qts of redline left, so I'll do one more change at least with it.
Peace out bro. if you are in socal and ned the oil right now, PM me. We could wok something out, sell it to you at cost or whatever.
Good Luck. always nice to know I'm not the only one using redline.

I use Mobil 1 and i have i/h/e no cat and have 46 on the dash. It performs like a dream just to warn you don't use castoral i put that in my car for 1 oil change and i hated how it felt so bad that i wanted to take it out as soon as i put it in. You actually feel the vavles move with castoral
