DIY: Side Skirts

Yeah, i'm a cheap azz....but for 10 bucks in total material....
Gutter Flashing at Home Depot-2 full sticks

Cut to fit with snips
Make radius cuts with snips
Smooth out cut with bench grinder
Cut slot where the fender and door meet up.
Screw each side...i used 5 metal screws.

I concur. Actually looks pretty decent. Only thing I'd change would be to put a slight curve to the vertical portion.. Simply for aesthetics, but that's just me. I would be quite difficult to get a nice constant curve, however.

With the way the body rolls underneath, you can set the skirts at an angle or perpendicular. I personally would have like to put a bead roll at the bottom for extra strength...but the roller is at my parents house 900 miles away.

The slit at the junction of the of fender and door is probably the most import thing to consider. The body work leans slightly inward towards the front tire well starting at that point...at least it does on mine. The slit on the backside of the flashing allows the material to bend while keeping the front portion solid. I'll post up a picture later today.
