Post Hood Pins Install

<font face="Verdana" size="2">Materials:<br />- Dremel w/assorted attachments<br />- Drill w/ different size bits<br />- Tape<br />- Hood pins<br /><br /><br />Step 1:<br />Begin by removing the hood levelers(rubber thingy). Using a dremel, clear out the area of the bottom layer where the hood leveler touches. Use the sanding bit to smooth out the hole.<br /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/pins1.jpg" border="0" /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/pins2.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><br />Step 2:<br />Put tape on the top of the hood over the area where you will drill through the top layer of the hood.<br /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/pins3.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><br />Step 3:<br />Put some grease or other marking material on the tip of the pins. Lower the hood so that it goes through the first dremeled hole and touches the CF. This marks your first point for drilling.<br /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/pins6.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><br />Step 4:<br />Drill with a very small bit from the bottom to the top. Use the grease marking as you drill spot.<br /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/pins4.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><br />Step 5:<br />Place the scuff plate on the tape and mark your drill points.<br /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/pins5.jpg" border="0" /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/pins7.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><br />Step 6:<br />Using you template, drill out the center hole. Start off with small bits and move up until the pin can fit through the hole.<br /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/pins9.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><br />Step 7:<br />Drill a small starter hole for attaching the scuff plate.<br /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/pins8.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><br />Step 8:<br />Remove the tape and witness your masterful drilling. NO CRACKS AT ALL <img alt="" src="/forums/images/smilies/hail.gif" border="0" />Sand the center of the hole to make it smooth.<br /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/pins10.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><br />Step 9:<br />Drill down the scuff plate.<br /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/pins11.jpg" border="0" /><br /><br /><br />Step 10:<br />DROOL OVER YOUR BEAUTFUL HOOD!!! <img alt="" src="/forums/images/smilies/claps.gif" border="0" /><br /><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/kaminaricf1.jpg" border="0" /></font><br /><img alt="" src="/diyimages/kaminaricf2.jpg" border="0" />
