anyone getting a racing license?
Anyone here thinking about getting one? It been on my mind for the past couple of years. Many of my friends got them and are racing in Spec Miata, Honda Challenge or SE-R cup. I don't think I'll be racing in a series any time soon due to time and money. I'm quite happy just doing track days on my civic (hopefully on a s2000 soon once I sell my civic) and on my bikes. Driving Concept has a 2 day program for only $500. I think the pre-requiste is having been through HPDE 1-4, which I have finished. My friend and I have been thinking about entering in enduro's on his spec miata just for kicks.
Besides, when the cop pulls you over and asks for a license, you can show them your racing license
There's no limit to what you can achieve.
These intensive two-day schools are structured to take the experienced driving school participant to the next level and prepare them for the competitive racing environment. In our racing schools, the student drives their own 'street prepared' car on track with other students in carefully monitored simulated racing conditions.
Note: This program is open to qualified candidates only. Students must demonstrate completion of at least one High Performance Driving School, or similar program, before being accepted to the Advanced Racing & Competition School. The application form includes a section regarding your training/racing experience and this must be completed prior to being accepted for this course. *

Not to say it wouldn't be fun to try it.
I just started working on the HPDEs. I'll prolly chill there until I get out of school... then we'll see what happens.
