1999 Miata w/Sport Package

Well guys I had to say goodbye to the civic (cc was her name) she will be missed. I got fed up with those pesky 89 si's kicking my *** in sts everytime.
So after weeks of searching I found a 99 Miata with the sport package.
Sport suspension with Bilstein shocks / Torsen® Limited slip differential / 3 spoke Nardi leather wrapped steering wheel / Strut Bar
I'll be autoxing this weekend learning how to drive RWD. I want to run C-Stock but my race wheels are 1' too wide. I may have to run CSP (I think) until I can find another set of wheels. I am going to have to invest in some R-compunds too.
I am basically using this weekend to learn the car.

Put R-comps onto the stock wheels, put the stock tires on the race wheels. Run CS

I was thinking that. In our Region you can run CST (T=tire). So I might put the azenis on the stock wheels until I burn those up. Then get the R-Compounds. First I have to learn RWD. It feels sooo much different after only driving FW

Then just learn with the stock tires. You'll learn REEEEEALY fast what you can and can't do.

As a former CS person in a Miata the best advice I can give you is when in a turn and the back starts to come around DON'T LIFT!!! Keep steady pressure on the gas and it will be ok. I know it will feel very odd but trust me I have done a 1260 due to lifting fun yes but the corner captain kicked my a$$ for having to reset 10 cones over a 150 ft span.
