Before tech and after tech?

What MUST you do before tech and what are you allowed to do after tech? Do you have to put your race rims on before tech? Can you take them off and adjust the coils after tech? I am just not sure what I can and cannot do after tech. Thanks

Your car must be in race trim before tech. That means wheels on, mats out, **** out of the console, if you got a race only harness, its buckled to the tail strap, the trunk is cleared out, etc....
You can adjust anything you want afterwards, tire pressure, coil preload, ride height, camber, whatever you can adjust can be adjusted. And yes, if you have to take the wheel off to do it, you are allowed. This isn't NASCAR. Just make sure for the sake of your own ***, you torque the wheel back on after you're done.

Just remember that Tech is not responible for classing cars or in determining if a car is Illigal for a particular class, that is entirly up to you and the people in your class.

I was just curious because my friend said that you couldn't take the wheels off and adjust coils, mess with sway bars, etc. and I told him that you could. Thanks.

Yep! And there are some cheaters in my class in Texas region. This guy with a Integra LS with a Type R transmissoin with LSD was running in STS class. I told him he was illegal and he did not believe me. I told some other guys I was running with, but they did not care because this guy's times were shitty anyway.

well if hes Beating you then you could protest, or just show him the rules (Buy a 2004 rule book) and he should believe you then. If he still doesnt change classes talk to the Event Chair and they shoud be able to do some thing about that. Personally I wouldnt really bother with it at a local level, unless compititon was Really tight.
