I’m freshly new to the honda world
just got a free 01 civic ex

nothing fancy it’s got 126,000 miles
and some small rust spots

but just wanted to say hello

and if anyone’s has good info on these cars I would love to know

Welcome, it looks like a pretty damn good car for free if you ask me.

This started off as a 7th gen (2001-2005) civic forum so there's a ton of info on here. We'll be able to answer pretty much any questions you have.

Free... wow.120K is low miles especially for an '01.

I had an '01 EX Cpe, loved that car, mine did not have that cool stitching on the bumpers...

Had it from new on '01 til I traded it in with 141K mile for a new '12, pretty much only filters, oil, brakes, wiper blade refills, and tires.. except the Ac failed me aroudn 120K the compressor clutch fell apart and came flying off... Ended up trading down with my daughter who had an '08 Civic Cpe EX for my '12...
Still driving the '08 with 129K currently. MPO the '08 rides better and the Premium Sound system is better.
